Global has analyzed product line demand and is discontinuing those lines with little or no demand from our lab customers. Please take a peek at the attachment to find those lines discontinued by Global. Return dates are important to note. Chances are you do not have any of these lenses, but if do then get them back to us by the cutoff date. After the cutoff date you will still be able to send them back to the vendor. We are not finished going through all of the vendors, so the list will certainly grow as we find more product lines with little or no demand. Any changes to our product lines are always posted to our website under the "New and Discontinued Lenses" section. Here is a link to these most recent changes.
Hoya has discontinued all iD Lifestyle CD product lines. Return these to Global by 3/3/23. This is a set return deadline by Hoya.
Hoya has upgraded FSV High Vision AR to FSV HV View Protect AR. Also, FSV EX3 AR has been upgraded to FSV EX3+ AR. FSV EX3+ AR Trivex is now Aspheric in design. When you order the old lens, Global will automatically send you the new upgraded AR lens. This will give you time to price the new lenses and change your pick lists in your LMS. Return the old lenses to Global by 3/3/23. These have a set return deadline and Hoya will not accept returns at a later date.
On a separate issue, Global historically accepted TOG defectives. Now you will be returning TOG defects to their distribution center in Missouri. Please send the document (linked here) to the person in your lab responsible for returning defective lenses. The TOG form has the address and contact person for TOG. Credits will be routed from TOG to Global and then Global will credit your account.
